Macy Ledbetter - Wildlife Biologist & President
As a wildlife biologist, avid outdoorsman, naturalist, ecologist and fifth generation landowner, Macy completely understands land and land management and pride of ownership. He practices what he preaches and can relate to the many challenges of modern-day ownership.
After earning a Wildlife Ecology degree from Texas A&M University in 1992, Macy worked for Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in South Texas for ten years as a regulatory biologist. Demand from landowners in other regions of Texas led Macy and his wife Cathy to start their own private habitat and wildlife consulting business, Spring Creek Outdoors. The consulting company has been very successful for more than two decades working in all eco-regions of Texas with game, non-game and multiple exotic species. Macy was an integral part of getting the current Wildlife Management tax valuation passed into legislation and put into use today. Private landowner rights and sound wildlife management practices are very important issues to Macy, so he internalizes the buying and selling process and the entirety of the property and wildlife management stages.
Macy is a graduate of the King Ranch Advanced Ranch Management program and is the recipient of numerous industry awards in Texas and Mexico. When chronic wasting disease (CWD) was first discovered in Texas, Macy assembled the team of disease experts that led to the nation’s first ever live deer testing protocols. Macy also serves on the advisory board for Combat Marine Outdoors, an organization that provides hunting opportunities for wounded military heroes. Macy also serves in various Expert Witness capacities regarding eminent domain, transmission and pipe line easements, real estate issues and energy sector projects.
Macy has made his entire livelihood outdoors on Texas ranches. Very few people have spent as much time in helicopters, capturing deer, participating in multiple practical research projects, improving both habitat and wildlife AND he has had his real estate license for over twenty years! Macy works statewide but lives on his Family Lands Heritage recognized ancestral family ranch in northern San Saba County with his wife Cathy and a wide array of pets.

Wade Ledbetter - Wildlife Biologist
Wade grew up both in the thorn scrub of South Texas and in the rolling sandy hill country of San Saba County on the family ranch. Catching and caring for a wide array of wild critters as “pets” during his formative years gave him a deep appreciation and respect for wild spaces, wild things, and private land stewardship. Being homeschooled most of his young life, Wade spent years within his family’s business working directly with landowners, conducting helicopter game surveys and assisting with various wildlife capture projects throughout Texas. As a sixth generation landowner, he firmly grasps the responsibilities of landownership and intensive wildlife management.
Wade received his Wildlife and Fisheries Science degree from Texas A&M University in 2020 and works full time in the family business. While in college, Wade participated all four years in the Corps of Cadets and won seven national shooting championships. Wade lives in Mason County with his wife Macie and their family.
